Thank you, Jed Gottlieb and the Boston Herald!
There’s a reason Greg Klyma hosts Americana Sundays, a weekly night of live music that celebrated its first anniversary at Somerville’s Thunder Road last month. Klyma understands the expansive sound of Americana from “Nashville Skyline” to “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” from outlaw country to Cambridge folk. He puts this appreciation for the genre on display on his new album Never Knew Caroline.
Never Knew Caroline
Never Knew Caroline (2017) is the latest release from Greg Klyma. Official album release parties are scheduled in Somerville, MA (Sun. Aug. 13 at Thunder Road), Buffalo, NY (Sat. Sept. 23 at Sportsmen's Tavern), and St. Louis, MO (Fri. Oct. 27 at Focal Point). The album features 9 original Greg Klyma songs and one co-write with Jim Whitford, as well as performances by Gurf Morlix, Peter Case, and the “Titan of the Telecaster” Bill Kirchen.
